Google has come up with yet another update to their search engine on 10th february 2020. This time it is on how the featured snippets look.
Featured snippets are generally considered as Rank 0 of the google search results. And featured snippets take 8-10% of the total clicks from the search result that is on the 1st position.
On 10th February 2020, google has come up with a new format for featured snippet on desktop. Check the image below.
New format for desktop featured snippets:
Previously there used to be one or two images from another site.
Now, there’s more images from other sites. Clicking on these images takes the user to Image Search & Shoppings Ads in some cases.
It essentially means, there is a lot of opportunity for SEOs to get featured in featured snippets. If not directly with the link, you can optimize your images for getting into featured snippets.
